MAINTENANCE
Elevator Maintenance Needs to Change
All over the DMV, we find elevators in dire need of basic service. When routine housekeeping is not completed, you don’t have a preventative maintenance plan. This level of neglect guarantees larger mechanical and electrical problems are on the horizon and your elevators will become consistently less reliable.
THERE IS A BETTER WAY!
Dependable Service Plans by DMV Elevator
It's All About The Hours
Preventative Maintenance does not work without dedicating consistent hours. Prior to beginning service DMV Elevator will review your existing equipment and recommend the minimum necessary hours.
- Minimum Service Frequencies: 1 hour/month for traction elevators and 1 hour every other month for hydraulic elevators.
- Transparent Pricing: Adding additional monthly service time can be done at any time based on published pricing.
- Real-time adjustments and component replacement as usage related wear and tear occurs. If the elevator was smooth and quiet when it was installed, proper preventative maintenance will maintain those conditions.

Technology As A Tool, Not a Crutch
DMV Elevator utilizes a full ERP system with mobile phone and customer portal applications to enhance our services. We understand that these tools provide efficiency and transparency to meet today’s customer expectations, but cannot take the place of hours spent onsite working. Our ERP system provides:
- Electronic Maintenance Control Plans: Customized to your elevator(s) the route mechanic receives specific tasks to complete during each maintenance visit.
- Customer Portal: Web-based access to all maintenance, testing and repair records for each piece of equipment in your portfolio.
- Unit History: Specific to each elevator, the on-call mechanic can quickly see prior problems on the unit, who took each call, and what the solution was.
- Detailed Equipment Information: Unit characteristics like speed, capacity, number of stops, controller model, machine model, etc. are loaded in the ERP system and available for quick reference by all DMV Elevator employees. Product specific manuals and wiring diagrams can also be assigned to specific units providing quick reference material for the mechanic onsite.
- Testing: Test dates are recorded for each elevator and updated with the next due date. The dashboard tracks all elevators with test requirements each month allowing on-time testing and avoidance of fines.
- Capital Planning: Data driven capital planning to allow you to budget for future upgrades driven by code changes, safety improvements, aesthetic enhancements, or product obsolescence.
